On Valentine’s Day, we hosted a sold-out prix fixe dinner with 4 delicious courses and elegant fair-trade organic tea pairings. The evening was a fantastic success and made us excited about doing future special events with a fine dining twist!
On February 22nd, we hosted our 5th book club event in our #BSFBookClub series. This month our lovely host, Aparita Bhandari, led a lively discussion about Mohsin Hamid’s novel, Moth Smoke. Next month, on March 29th, we will featuring Padma Lakshmi’s memoir, Love, Loss and What we Ate. Book club attendees were treated to complimentary samosas with their dinner along with our new dessert, Khari Paradise (let’s just say it has LOTS of Nutella!).
Our business began in the farmers’ markets and eclectic food festivals of Toronto. On February 23d, we had a wonderful opportunity to return to that world with our participation in Foodshare Toronto’s Recipe for Change. Held in St. Lawrence Market, this amazing fundraiser featuring 30 of Toronto’s top chefs each cooking a special dish. The event raises funds and awareness for food literacy in Toronto schools. Our team was there in fine form and we served over 200 vada pavs!
